Ping Jiang Road - Suzhou

After I touched down to Suzhou, I met up with my old friend from the US (Fred) and his PA (Ashley). Pingjiang district was the first place he had brought me to. It has a lot of water canals and bridges around the town. That is why Suzhou is well known as a water town. A lot of tea houses, souvenirs shops and buildings with china architectures were just everywhere along the rivers. The water in the canal was peaceful and the river side is shaded with a lot of trees too. One thing I noticed is that a lot of dogs running around that area. However, it feels pretty comfortable to walk down the street along the river side enjoying the sight seeing of the river and people around there.

Yu Garden (豫园) - Shanghai

I took these photos around the Yu Garden but it is not inside the Yu Garden. It is because it needs entrance fees to the Yu Garden to view the China architectures inside the garden. So I was just walking around the outside of the Yu Garden for sightseeing, tasting those local food over there. It has a lot of Chinese traditional architectures around that area which makes this place feel a lot more "China" compared to the Shanghai town.

Penang hill hike through "Poh Hiao" route

This was a leisure hike to Penang Hill station 84 through the so called "Poh Hiao" route. We took the left most route when we started the hike. As far as I know, that was the toughest route in Poh Hiao route because it has the most inclined jungle trek that we need more efforts in hiking. It was not easy to carry an SLR around when hiking but I decided to bring it along simply because I wanted to capture the truest hiking experience that I had with my love one and a great group of hiking buddies. I will keep my SLR in the bag if the route is too tough and take it out to do shooting again whenever I see something interesting or landmark along the way. For those new hikers, you can take a look through this blog to see the landmarks or check point that you can actually see along the hike, so you know you are on the right track! Happy doing sports and happy viewing!! Sometimes I feel a bit pity for my SLR because it will need to sweat with me along the hike but I will make sure I clean it up after the hike. Haha!!

Commonly known as "Moon GATE", you can see the "gate" is as round as full moon!
