Jogging to lower seletar

Overcast morning, no specific route to jog 🏃 at the beginning. Followed the path along the road side. Saw a signboard leading to lower seletar. So I just followed. Layered clouds over the sky, morning breeze, good run!

Orchard walk from air itam to balik pulau

0630 in the morning, we went to a famous curry mee stall at the road side of Air Itam for breakfast. It was my first time seeing the seller squatting down in the floor to heat up the soup with charcoal fire. The taste of the curry was nice and the spicy level is like 7/10. 

0745 we started the hike up to the Air Itam dam through tar road. The road was pretty steep but it was not too far before we reached the dam. 

We have seen quite a lot of interesting plants and fruits along the way to balik pulau through the orchard.

We saw dead body of a gibbon on the floor beside the tar road along the way. Hope it rests in peace.

This was an interesting letter box at the front of a house at Batu Itam. 

We were told by the local that this stair case shown in picture below was mounted on the big tree so that people can climb up to the tip of the tree to get honey from the hives.

1100 we reached the town of balik pulau and take our lunch at the wet market food stall beside the bus station. It was famous with its nutmeg juice and the pasembur which taste pretty good. We took the bus back to kek lok si at the cost of RM 2.70.

This was a great and educational workout over the first day of long weekend!

Gurney 8 - Sunrise

These photos were taken along the beach stretched along the corner of gurney drive closed to Gurney hotel. It was a pretty big sandy beach for family to bring along their children or pets as play ground in the morning. It was my first time visiting that place so I walked a long way down the beach. I saw a few old houses and interesting big and old trees located just next to the beach. Then I found this sort of divider that literally separating the beach into different compartments and forming a "V" when it intersects with the edge of the beach. So I just climb up the divider and start to set up for the shooting. I know the rocks looks messy but I did not intend to clone them out because it shows some degree of representation on the quality or cleanliness of beach in Penang Island.
